Surviving the World

A Photocomic Education by Dante Shepherd

Lesson #1880 - Space Exploration

Among the many stupid things I've done in my life, making fun of the Mars rovers by pretending to be snakes native to Mars is among the dumbest. Yet still fun.

I'm realizing this is slightly how I actually approach science these days, anyway. Imagining impossible or unlikely scenarios and debating the ethics of following through on the decision, thus delaying action for far too long. The weird thing is I'm realizing this through writing a comic about a PhD student studying unknown monster species. I'd probably be a better scientist if I could be more cold and calculating and shut up my imagination more often. I'd also probably have done more lobotomies. Speaking of which, the patient has been waiting too long in the lobby, I've got to get back to work.
