Lesson #2848 - Senselessness

What kils me about the transgender bathroom laws is that they emerged as a 'need' as soon as same-sex marriage had been won and bigots needed to redirect their anger. What kills me about rape cases is the men and everyone else without any sense of empathy whose natural response is to focus on disputing the rape statistics, not on the need to ensure that more than simply 20% of victims of sexual assault are supported and report the crime. What kills me about yet another mass shooting is that it's yet another goddamn mass shooting and too many people will claim helplessness or focus on some other minor aspect as opposed to the common weapon in attack after attack.

I don't know who or what my children will be, but I hope I raise them to have empathy, compassion, and spines.

And if I'm successful, I hope they're not the only ones.

STW KICKSTARTER: Less than four days left. We need about 300 more people or it won't be successful.
