Really, I think even horror or thriller writers are misinterpreted on a regular basis. In those cases, people might not recognize the allusions the writers were attempting to make. Still, it only takes two readers before there's a false interpretation.

This comic might have developed from reading one of the Stephen King "Dark Tower" books, and one scene where a teacher goes far too deep in reviewing a student's essay. I laughed for an hour at her critical review, so I think King approached the subject far better than I have above. Oh well.
